When trying to connect to a Minecraft server, Mojang checks whether your access is real, so when the access is not validated, it returns the error "Failed to verify username" . There are 3 reasons why the server returns this error, and we will explain and teach you how to fix it:

1 - Using pirated minecraft
If you are using pirated Minecraft, you will not be able to join Minecraft servers where only original accounts are allowed. If you are getting this error on your server, you can disable "online-mode". This will allow players with pirated Minecraft to join the server.

2 - Problems with Mojang servers
If you are receiving the message "Failed to verify username" when trying to connect to your Minecraft server, it may be due to the unavailability of Mojang's authentication servers. To resolve this issue, you will need to wait until the servers are back up and running properly.

We recommend following the official @MojangStatus Twitter account to receive real-time updates on all Minecraft/Mojang services. This way, you will be informed about any issues or ongoing maintenance: https://twitter.com/MojangStatus

3 - More than one person using the original Minecraft account
This error can also occur if your account is being used on more than one device. In some cases, logging out and logging back into your Minecraft account may resolve the issue.
